The Blastrz Story

Cooking has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
As a kid, I was always looking into pots and pans while my mom cooked, trying to understand what made her food taste so good. When she was at work, my grandma looked after me. She was an amazing cook too, and her spaghetti Bolognese became one of my favorite dishes.
For years, I tried to figure out her secret.
After studying gastronomy and spending more than 30 years cooking, I eventually realized there probably wasn’t one secret ingredient. What made her food special was the care, experience, and passion she put into cooking for the people she loved.
That stayed with me.
Cooking became part of my family life
My real passion for cooking grew even stronger when I started cooking for my own family.
With a wife and three hungry boys, cooking is not something that happens occasionally in our house. It is part of everyday life.
And when you cook for five people, portions get big very quickly.
That became especially obvious when I started making stir fries.
I remember trying to quickly sear a large batch of thinly sliced beef. I wanted browned, tender pieces of beef with that intense flavor you get from a good wok.
Instead, the temperature dropped.
The beef released water and started steaming.
What should have been a fast sear turned into grey, chewy meat sitting in its own juices.
Vegetables were another problem. Too much food in the wok and they would steam instead of fry. Cook them longer and they became soft. Take them out earlier and some were still undercooked.
I knew what I wanted the food to do.
I simply could not get my stove to do it.
I realized the problem was heat
My electric stove was fine for most cooking, but stir frying was different.
A wok works best when you can apply intense heat quickly, recover that heat after adding ingredients, and control the flame instantly while you cook.
That was what I was missing.
So I started experimenting.
I tried different burners, different wok setups, different burner designs, and more than a few improvised solutions.
Some had plenty of power but terrible control.
Some spread the flame in the wrong place.
Some were awkward to use.
Others simply did not produce the kind of cooking experience I was looking for.
Over time, I learned that a good wok burner is not just about producing the biggest possible flame.
It is about putting the heat where you need it and being able to control it.
That is how Blastrz began

I wanted a burner that I would actually want to cook on myself.
Powerful enough for real high heat wok cooking.
Responsive enough that I could control the flame while cooking.
Simple enough that I could concentrate on the food instead of the equipment.
And capable of handling the larger portions I regularly cook for my family.
That idea eventually became Blastrz.
The first time everything came together, the difference was immediate.
The wok heated faster. Ingredients actually seared. Vegetables stayed crisp. Fried rice fried instead of steaming.
And cooking became faster, louder, hotter, and a lot more fun.
It was finally the kind of wok cooking I had been trying to achieve at home for years.
Why I created Blastrz
Blastrz did not start because I wanted to create another kitchen product.
It started because I had a problem I wanted to solve for myself.
Then I realized I was far from the only one.
There are a lot of home cooks who love stir fry but are trying to make it on equipment that was never really designed for this style of cooking.
Blastrz is for them.
For people who enjoy cooking.
For people who want to understand their food and get better at it.
For people who love the sound of ingredients hitting a hot wok and the feeling of cooking over a real flame.
And especially for people who believe that some of the best meals are the ones cooked for family and friends.
That is what Blastrz is about.
More heat. More control. Better wok cooking at home.
